Spectroscopic MRI Guided Proton Therapy in Assessing Metabolic Change in Pediatric Patients With Brain Tumors

Malignant Brain Glioma

This trial studies how well spectroscopic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) guided proton therapy works in assessing metabolic change in pediatric patients with brain tumors. The non-invasive imaging, such as spectroscopic MRI may help to map the differences in tumor metabolism compared to healthy tissue without injection of any contrast agent.

Moving Yourself in Space and Time: MYSTIC

Parkinson's Disease (PD) ยท Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and Related Disorders ยท Older Adults (60 - 85 Years Old)

This study is being done to answer the question: Do people with Parkinson's benefit from a new stepping therapy, and how do people with Parkinson's best learn new steps and rhythms set to music? Researchers will also compare individuals with Parkinson's Disease with people with Mild Cognitive Impairment, and with people with neither of these conditions. The purpose of this study is to identify principles of human-music interactions to establish underlying guiding theories for application to music-based rehabilitation for older populations with neurodegenerative disease, leading to more refined and targeted music-based rhythmic movement therapies.

Comparison of Epi-ON Corneal Collagen Crosslinking Performed Using an 18-Minute UVA Exposure vs. a 24-Minute UVA Exposure on Eyes With Ectatic Corneal Diseases

Keratoconus ยท Ectasia of Cornea ยท Pellucid Marginal Corneal Degeneration

The goal of this clinical trial is to study the effects of an experimental (not Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved) treatment called corneal crosslinking (CXL) for conditions in which the cornea becomes progressively thin, steep, and misshapen, causing vision to be blurred. CXL is performed by putting riboflavin (vitamin B2) drops onto the eye and then exposing it to ultraviolet (UVA) light at about the same intensity as you get outdoors on a bright, sunny day. It is designed to stop the progression of disease by strengthening the cornea. Study participants will be at least 8 years of age or older and have a diagnosis of keratoconus, ectasia after LASIK, ectasia after PRK, pellucid marginal degeneration, progressive ectasia after previous CXL treatment or forme fruste keratoconus. The main question it aims to answer is: * Does CXL help prevent or slow the progression of someone's corneal condition and vision loss? Participants will: * Attend up to a total of 7 in office visits over the course of 6 months, where several eye and vision tests will be given. Receive CXL (applying riboflavin (Vitamin B2 eye drops) to the eye, then exposing the eye to ultraviolet (UV-A) light). * There will be two groups of participants. One group will receive the UVA treatment for 18 minutes and the other group will receive the UVA treatment for 24 minutes.

Non-inferiority Study of Frexalimab Subcutaneous Administration Compared to Intravenous Administration in Adult Participants With Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis

This is a randomized, open-label, parallel, Phase 3 study with 2-arms for treatment. The purpose of this study is to evaluate SC administration of frexalimab every 4 weeks (q4w) compared to IV administration of frexalimab q4w in male and female participants with RMS and nrSPMS (aged 18 to 60 years at the time of enrollment). People diagnosed with MS are eligible for enrollment as long as they meet all the inclusion criteria and none of the exclusion criteria. Study details include: The study intervention duration will be 48 weeks (12 months) for Parts A and B combined. Optional Part C will last until the initiation of a long term safety study for Frexalimab. The follow up duration after the end of study intervention (in case of discontinuation) will be 6 months. The number of scheduled visits (Parts A and B) will be 17 for participants receiving frexalimab SC or IV, with an on-site visit frequency of every month between Week 4 and Week 24 in Part A, then every 1 to 3 months in Part B, then every 6 months in Part C. Participants discontinuing treatment before the End of Study will have an additional 3 follow-up visits.

Virtual Rehabilitation in HCT

Hematopoietic Cell Transplant

Chronic GVHD (cGVHD) is a major cause of illness in patients who undergo hematopoietic transplantation (HCT). GVHD can affect any organ in the body, can require several years of treatment, and can impact the quality of life (QoL). Physical activity and exercise have been shown to enhance fitness and improve QoL in chronic illnesses including GVHD, however, patients often have barriers to attending sessions including distance, risk of infection, and physical therapists' lack of experience with pediatric patients. The team's goal is to assess whether a virtual rehabilitation program in children post-HCT (including children with chronic GVHD) is feasible and whether its implementation will improve physical functioning and QoL. Patients between the ages of 8 and 23 years who are at least one hundred days post-HCT will be eligible for participation. Patients will have an assessment by a pediatric physical therapist at the time of study entry, at the end of the rehabilitation program, and approximately 3 months later. They will be supplied with some exercise equipment (such as dumbbells and resistance bands). Patients will have twice weekly half-hour one-on-one online sessions with the physical therapist for 12 weeks. Patients will be recruited through the bone marrow transplant clinic.

A Research Study Looking at Long-term Treatment With Etavopivat in People With Sickle Cell Disease or Thalassaemia

Sickle Cell Disease ยท Thalassemia

Etavopivat is a new medicine under development for treating blood disorders like sickle cell disease and thalassaemia. Sickle cell disease and thalassaemia are inherited blood disorders that affect haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is the protein that carries oxygen through the body. This study is looking into how safe treatment with etavopivat is and how well it works over a long period of time. The study will last for up to 264 weeks, but it will end earlier if etavopivat is approved in the participant's country.
